Two-Tier Pull Out Shelves For Kitchen Cabinets

I've mentioned before that I've been installing pull out shelves in my kitchen. My latest kitchen organization project was adding two-tier pull out shelves for my kitchen cabinets.

My first set was a pots and pan organizer. That set had places to organize not only the pots and pans but the lids as well. This set is two baskets - an upper and lower basket that slide out independently. These baskets are good for larger items such as my large skillet, stock pots, mixing bowls, crockpot, and colander. The list could go on and on. This cabinet is one of my wider cabinets so I went with the 21" wide set but there are narrower sets available to suit your needs. In fact, next on my list is one of my narrower cabinets and I'll be purchasing the 12" set for that cabinet.

I don't know anyone who doesn't get frustrated with having to empty out a cabinet to reach something that is in the very back or on the bottom. Having one of these eliminates that frustration. You simply pull out the shelf and you can reach the item you need.

In addition to transforming my lower cabinets and making my kitchen organized, I am impressed with how sturdy these are. You can feel they are made of a strong gauge and will be able to withstand the weight of heavy pots and pans. That was one of the very first things that I noticed when I first looked at them. I also really like how easy the shelves glide in and out. And when the shelf is almost all the way back in, the glide system pulls it in the rest of the way. It's the little things that can really make me happy!
