Sock Drawer Organization

I don't know about you, but one of the areas in my house that I'm always battling organization is my sock drawer. It's a mess. Please tell me I'm not the only one with this problem. No?! Whew! I'm determined to tackle this eyesore with some sock drawer organization.

To begin with, I've decided to improve my methods of folding socks. I've been guilty in the past of folding my socks over the cuffs. I'm going to leave that method in the past for a couple of reasons. For one, I've noticed that it tends to stretch out the elastic. It also isn't the best use of space in my sock drawer. They certainly can't lay flat when folded like that.

So after I purged my drawer of old socks I set about trying a new folding method. I decided to give the Konmari method a try:

1. Lay one sock on top of its mate
2. Depending on the length you will be folding in thirds (ankle socks), fourths (mid-length socks) or fifths (knee-high socks). Fold from the toe up until you get a flat square.
3. Stand each pair up on end so that you can easily see all of your sock options each morning!

Now that we have every pair nice and tidy I also want to add a storage method. I've included some ideas below that will help with keeping them separated. I can group by kind or color and hopefully, this will keep my dresser from turning into an unorganized mess.

Each of the ideas below interested me for different reasons. I wanted to find products that would keep my drawer tidy and that would also make the chore of sorting socks easier. I think each of these would help with that in different ways.
