Let me introduce myself…
Hi friend! I’m Lisa and I’m so happy to see you around my neck of the woods. 🙂 I started Our Chutes and Ladders to have a place for a creative outlet and to share ideas that can help people. I am always trying to figure out how to improve our home and lives. I hope some of my ideas and ramblings will help you too! 🙂
If we are going to be sitting around drinking from our favorite coffee cups together we should probably get to know one another. So here’s a few things about me:
I married my high school sweetheart <3
I officially met my husband, Scott, just before my freshman year of high school although we didn’t start dating until the end of the school year. He was a couple years older than me and I was smitten from the moment I saw him. It took him a little longer to come around. 🙂 We finished high school and stayed local for college. We married while still in college and the rest is history. I love having so much shared history with him!
I am the mom of two teenagers
Love my kids more than they will ever know. My son is a college freshman at Ole Miss (Hotty Toddy!) and my daughter is in middle school. They are both smart, funny and witty and I’ve very proud of them. We are adjusting to my son going to an out of state college so I’m sure you hear me talk about his care packages from time-to-time. I’m *that mom* that will be decorating the inside of the box and theming it out. My daughter loves to bake and so I’ll be sure to pass along her recipes and baking creations.
I’m a chronic planner
The first step is admitting you have a problem, right? Except I don’t think it’s a problem. I just like to be organized and have a good plan. And I firmly believe there is nothing that can’t be solved with a good Excel Spreadsheet. I’ll be sure to share some with you. Sharing is caring! 🙂
I have a thing for a mouse ºoº
This kind of feeds my confession above but I love to go to Walt Disney World. And because a trip to Disney takes some planning….. half the fun for me is planning the trip! Ha! And you guessed it… there’s speadsheets involved. We’ve made many, many trips to Disney throughout my kid’s childhoods and I’m sure we will be returning many more.
